A modern narrative that has formed around the classical "monster" Medusa, retells the story, casting her as victim of rape who was granted the power to turn people to stone in order to protect herself from the evils of men.  Reflecting upon the story from this perspective gives us space to think about what justice, feminism, and victimhood really mean.
